2024 marked the launch of our first 9-month Apprentice Program—a resounding success!

 

Here’s a quick recap of what our apprentice program accomplished:

• Mastering Tropicaleiza Repertoire from 2006 to the present

• Fundamentals of JSMethod Sequences 1, 2, and 3

• Three Weekly Classes: two private to the cohort and one integrated with Tropicaleiza

• Monthly Saturday Workshops or Events

• 30-Minute One-on-One Mentorships

• Specialized Training Series: Barre Blaze, Samba, and a 2-Week Capoeira immersion

• Master Classes with Specialty Instructors

• Drum Intensive with Marcus Santos, Cultural Advisor and Master Drummer from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil

• Participation in Two Tropicaleiza Productions: A Global Sisterhood (January) and She Her Us: The Encore(June)

• They Learned to Drum!

Our Goal:
To empower participants to discover their truest voices and become vessels of strength, joy, and energy through movement, music, and mentorship.
